Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification Training is a structured program designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively serve their communities in health-related roles. The training typically covers:
- Health Education: Topics on disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness strategies.
- Cultural Competency: Understanding diverse community needs and how to communicate effectively with different populations.
- Care Coordination: Navigating healthcare systems and resources to assist clients in accessing services.
- Advocacy Skills: Learning how to advocate for community needs and address barriers to care.
- Communication Skills: Developing effective interpersonal and community outreach techniques.
- Practical Experience: Hands-on training opportunities to apply learned skills in real-world settings.
Upon completion, participants may receive certification, enabling them to work as CHWs and contribute to improving health outcomes in underserved communities.

If you are interested in joining our upcoming class please fill out the form below. Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:30pm until the completion of class on August 14th. This is a 12-week course and is taught in English. All classes are taught virtually through Zoom. Please insure you have a device with a camera, microphone, and internet connection for this course.
